NBA Finals Lakers Vs. Magic

Coming into the NBA 2009 Season I did not anticipate that the Orlando Magics would be a championship contender at all. This year’s post season series have been very eye-opening and very enjoyable to say the least. A lot of competitive close games seems like NBA is where amazing truly happens.

Moving along to the NBA Finals, the Los Angeles Lakers have once again is making a trip to this 7 game series two years in a row against a team they lost 2-0 during the regular season, albeit Jameel Nelson played those 2 games he might or might not be playing during the finals this series would be interesting if he stay in street clothes.

All during post season the Lakers have struggled against teams that should have been a walk in the park but went into lengths. I am saying that Orlando Magics is a formidable opponent against the Lakers due to the inside presence of Dwight Howard and the supporting cast with Turk and Rashard Lewis in the team. Experienced players mixed with young talents should be an interesting match up against what the Lakers have.

Everyone is picking the Lakers in 6, I dont want to make any prediction as of yet. After the first game I can make my prediction on how short or long this series would go. All in all I am rooting for the Lakers to take it home. I am surely anticipating another parade in downtown!

Charles Barkley Calls His Producer a Pussy

I know i’ve been blogging a lot lately, mainly about the NBA Playoffs but i just had to post this up… First, he called Kenny Smith, “numbnuts” then calls his producer a “pussy”. LOL This has to be one of the funniest clips i’ve seen from them.

Riding in Long Beach + Good Eats

Every weekend we try to stay active so we picked up the hobby of riding our BMX around town.

This weekend we decided to ride from Westside Long beach through the LA river bike route all the way to Downtown Long beach and rode around Belmont Shore and ended the route in 2nd st.

Along the way we stopped by and grabbed lunch at Bistro Bouchees A burger joint that offers mini sliders that you can create yourself. If you are ever in the area its over at Long Beach Blvd. and Broadway.

Concept: “
bouchees bistro – French for “small bites”, offers design your own mini burgers which allows the opportunity to explore the extensive combinations of gourmet toppings and sauces.

I ended up ordering the #2 applewood bacon, chipotle cheeseburger along with bacon, egg and cheese panini and to top it of with parmesan and herb french fries/sweet potato.

One of the highlight of the place was the homemade ketchup. The food was great although the sirloin was a bit under cooked to my liking but overall it was good the mini burger just melt in your mouth. The panini on the other hand was a good addition to my mini burger because you cant go wrong with bacon, egg and cheese. The side order of french fries/sweet potato was pretty fulfilling although I might have mix emotions about the sweet potato since the sweet potato flavor was negated with all the parmesan and herbs sprinkled over the plate.

Overall, I would go back to this place, a mini burger and a mini specialty sandwich with the fries side order for under $15 isnt too bad. Plus the workers are pretty friendly.

Next time around I’ll be sure to take pictures to help with the visual, but for now you’d just have to take my word for it
